Board of Trustees

Since the start of the university's academic activity in 1995, medium-sized enterprises to global corporations with excellent reputations and market positions have been members of the Board of Trustees of PFH. This broad variety of partners consisting of DAX-listed companies and medium-sized businesses constantly gives new impetus for innovations and ensures practice-oriented study programs.

Eight of the 13 founding members companies presently on the Board of Trustees have from the very beginning been actively involved in the "With the Economy for the Economy" process. This fruitful cooperation over many years has guaranteed continuity and is the best proof for success that universities and companies have been able to achieve with this partnership.

Our common goal continues to be a positive influence on future generations of young executives that are well educated and able to meet the challenges in the business location of Germany with entrepreneurial dynamism as a basis for success.

The companies on the Board of Trustees do not only contribute financially to the PFH but are also actively involved by

• assuming economic responsibility by, for example, financing the endowed chairs
• acting as an advisor to the university to help make the curriculum practice-oriented and aligned to specific needs
• regularly introducing practical knowledge and experience into areas of specialization within the framework of lectures or panel discussions, for example
• sharpening the perception of students for practice-related issuesmaking internships available to students.

Endowed Chairs
The formation of the Endowed Chairs of Tourism and Travel Management (TUI AG), Entrepreneurship (Otto Bock HealthCare GmbH), Structural Mechanics of Composites (CFK-Valley Stade e. V.) and Composites (Airbus Deutschland GmbH) has become a driving force of the university's development. It is a further example for practiced cooperation between business and universities that guarantees the greatest possible orientation in practical experience within the academic environment.
