PFH & Technology

A milestone in the development of the PFH was the opening of its campus in Stade. Since October 2006 students can enroll in the nation-wide first "Composites" engineering study program that culminates in "Bachelor of Engineering" and "Master of Science" degrees.

CFK-Valley Stade e. V., one of the most successful competency networks in Germany, is the economic partner and driving force of this development. About 70 companies, including Airbus Deutschland GmbH, have made Stade one of the largest European manufacturing locations for CFRP lightweight structures. The objective of this partnership is to provide young engineers with study programs in this field of technology and therefore expand present knowledge advantage into global markets.

Focussing on "Technology and Innovation" since May 2005 was a logical consequence of the University's innovative management and its excellent reputation in business. As a founding member of „ECAS - European Center of Adaptive Systems" the Master of Science (Adaptronics) postgraduate study course was developed and successfully accredited by the ASIIN accreditation body. The nation-wide unique, extra-occupational study program of the key technology of Adaptronics began in April 2007. It offers university graduates in engineering and sciences an introduction into future-oriented, highly technical areas of development. The integration of business modules provides an important competency link to fields of project management, cost management and entrepreneurship.
