After studying psychology at the Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen, Annette Conzelmann received her doctorate at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg in 2010 from the Chair of Biological Psychology, Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, where she completed her lecturing qualification in 2014. For many years, she was a member of the chair's board of directors as a university assistant and was also involved in the ethics committee. Since 2014 until today, she has been working as a leading psychologist in the field of research and as a member of the management board of the Department of Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy in Childhood and Adolescence at the University of Tübingen. There, she studies the development and therapy of mental disorders in childhood and adolescence, for which she has already received research awards. Conzelmann also has many years of experience in supervising bachelor's, master's and doctoral theses. She is a member of the German Society for Psychology and the German Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy.

Parallel to her scientific career, she completed her training as a psychological psychotherapist in behavioural therapy for adults as part of her clinical qualification and is currently completing the supplementary curriculum for child and youth psychotherapy. For several years she worked in diagnostics and psychotherapy for adults in Würzburg and Stuttgart. She has also been involved in therapy studies including e-health procedures and worked on a project on computer-assisted learning groups. For many years, she has been involved in practical teaching with various participants such as psychologists, doctors, social and educational scientists, student nurses and also within the framework of the Children's University.
